One can only get folked out at the Folk Alliance. It was an amazing experience of getting to hear some of the most heartfelt soulful acoustic music in my life by artists from around the world.
Again, I was lucky enough to play the show with Arlo Guthrie and his family, including Gordon Titcomb,John Flynn, Exavier,Sarah Lee and Johnny Irion, The Burns Sisters, Ramsay Midwood, The Folk Ukes.

From New Orleans peeps, I got to hear transplanted Lee Quick, Gina Forsythe, Mike Paz playin their things....

John Gorka was amazing as usual....Also Terri Spence transported me beyond belief....

So, back in New Orleans, for the time being, and we shall see from here what's next..Thanks for droppin by.

It's hard to get your landin gear in place after such an amazing tour with Arlo and family......Last night, the show was sold out at Tip's and WIllie Nelson joined the stage and played. I did not want any of the group to leave and there was lots of bittersweet sadness to go around for everyone in the tour.We squeezed alot of beautiful music in between a two week period......Good news is that it may be JUST the beginning of more to come soon in the future. Thanks for all the support!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Played this past weekend at the Frank Brown Songwriting Festival. Thanks to all those people who worked to make this happen. Special thanks to AL and Terry for the southern hospitality....
The Orange Beach Art Center is a perfect "listening room" and the audience could not have been nicer to me. The locals here are showing what happens after one tries to recover from hurricane damage. Their's was Hurricane Ivan from a little over a year ago. This is what New Orleans, sadly enough, will be doing for the next decade recovering from Katrina and Rita.
I refuse to end this on a sad note so.......... ummmmmmmmmmmm .... wellllllllll ....... ummmmmmmm ......... wellllllllll.... oh well ........ it's all gettin better slowly but Surely..............

Visiting daughter Sarah in Iowa City. Her play is being performed for the second year in a row at the University of Iowa 10 Minute Play Festival..Her play is called "Freckle Music"...This play is just as powerful as last year's was and she continues to enlighten her audiences...

..How can anything be much better than gettin to see your daughter's writing be performed to a welcoming audience.Afterall, she was just a little one like yesterday except it was actually 21 years ago............

I wanted to thank everyone so far who has given me SO much support over the past year. It's been an incredible chapter of my life back in New Orleans. I am now moving back to be based in New Mexico. I will be performing around Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Taos and Las Cruces areas beginning by the end of February. I'm excited to move back to the desert, stars and the horizon that I knew for many years and have missed badly.

On the journey back, I get to visit my daughter and attend a play she has written and is being performed at the U of Iowa in Iowa City. Yea!!!How cool is that?I can't wait to see her and witness her gift and magic.....

Then, onwards to New Mexico to set up a home and experience anything that comes into my path on the way. The site will be updated with future gigs and whereabouts....

CD baby.com is hosting an event concentrating on the month of FEBRUARY to market a new compilation CD. The songs that make the CD will be from the TOP sellers of CD's on their website from the month of February. SO, I guess I'm reaching out to my virtual Street team to help promote and further sales from my website if it can happen. Please help pass the word to anyone who may be interested in my kind of music thing and may want to purchase a copy of "Here I Go Again."ANy help is MUCH appreciated.....Thanks for all the support from the whole of my heart and spirit.......

Check ya from the road....CYA ...

I made it into the five finalists in the Frank Brown International Songwriting Festival. This means I will perform at the festival which happens in November on the Florida/Alabama line. Its a cool lineup of performers and it'll be a bunch of fun so watch for it if you are near the Flora/Bama area.....
Leslie Smith will also be performing which is always a great show....
Also, another performer is Grayson Capps who happens to have landed six songs in the movie coming out next year which John Travolta stars in. The film was shot here and the script was inspired by one of Grayson's songs,'The Story of Bobby Long"---So, I'm pimpin grayson on my site....
